01. Funding for Dance Day
CID Sections are advised to contact their municipality asking to
include in the budget of 2011 funds for the celebration of Dance Day
29 April. Inform all schools and companies in your city, prepare for
coordinating celebrations, make list of journalists and media.
02. CID World Congress in Spain

03. University position in Canada
University invites applications for a full-time position in Dance
Education at the assistant or associate professor level.
04. Festival in South Korea
Presented by the Seoul Section of the CID-UNESCO, the 13th Seoul
International Dance Festival takes part in various parts of the city.
This year’s event invites 58 dance troupes from 20 countries to
present 63 projects.
05. Festival in Portugal
Folk ensembles from all countries are invited to festival from 27
July to 2 August 2011. Live music, up to 35 persons, programs for
15, 20, and 40 minutes. Accommodation and full board, free time for
beach and tourism.
06. University position, USA
Assistant Professor of Dance Ethnology to teach undergraduate course
in Dance in World Cultures and graduate courses in dance ethnology.
07. University position, USA
Opening for the position of Assistant professor, Asian Performing
Arts, Asian Studies.
08. Workshop on Oriental dances
4-14 July in Tunisia and 16-23 July in Egypt. Folk dances from the
Maghreb with live music. International certification CID.
09. Championship in Italy
World Championship of dance and dance sport 25-31 May 2011 in the
region of Tuscany.
10. New Section in Argentina
Announcing the establishment of the Buenos Aires Section of CID. The
Section is now officially recognized and available for direct
contacts and cooperation.
