01. Dance World Cup in Canada
In Montreal 6-10 July 2012, co-organized with the Montreal Section
of CID. Invites participants from all countries. All ages over 9,
all forms of dance.
02. Festival in Morocco
International University Festival in Agadir, 25 to 28 April 2012,
invites groups of students and young people worldwide.
03. Former CID President passed away
Swedish dance historian and former President of the International
Dance Council Mr. Bengt Häger passed away at the age of 95. For his

04. Competition for Choreographers in Germany
In Hanover 23-24 June 2012, with a long history of 26 years. Send
work on DVD. Open to all styles of ballet. 3 prizes of 13,500, one
of 1,000, one of 1,500 euros plus the Scapino Production Prize.

06. Latino congress in Latvia
It is not really a congress (a congress is when only members take
part) but a series of 35 workshops with international instructors in
3 days with parties and shows: 24-28/08/2012. Pass costs 50 euros.
07. Sixteen scholarships
For 16 students from any country in the world. 7 scholarships at
20,000 € and 9 scholarships at 48,000 € for a two-year course.
08. New site
The Naxos Section of CID has created a website with masterpieces of
the Art Nouveau school picturing dancers. These works of art can be
used as background for performances or as inspiration for costumes
and sets.
