Inviting all folk dance and/or music ensembles to Sardinia, 29 July
to 8 August 2011. Offering accommodation and full board.

Including gala shows, competition, workshops, conference, video
projection, performances, in Venice 18-20 March 2011. All styles of
Oriental dance: India, Andalusia, Folklore, Classic, Sacred, Tribal
American, Belly, Sufi Dervishes.
03. New Section in Turkey
Announcing the establishment of the Sariyer Section of CID. Sariyer
is a part of Istanbul, along the Bosphorus and the Black Sea. The
Section is now officially recognized and available for direct
contacts and cooperation.
04. Festival in the Ivory Coast
Folk dance and music companies are invited to the festival to be
held 26-29 April 2011 in Daloa, Côte d'Ivoire.

Festival in Lodz invites folk dance ensembles, 08-18 July 2011.
06. Festival in Madagascar
22-24 December 2010 in Foulpointe. Organizers offer accommodation
and full board.

08. Festival in Africa
Performances will take place in Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger and Côte
d’Ivoire, 27 to 30 April 2011.
09. Ballet awards in Australia
Prize money 10,000 australian dollars. Two solos required, one
classical repertoire and one free. Open to students aged 15 or over.
Venue in South Australia.
10. Festival in India
Inviting applications from proficient dancers of all Indian
classical styles (Odissi, Kathakali, Kuchipudi, Mohini Attam,
Manipuri, Sattriya, Chhau, Kathak) from all countries. January 2011.
11. Competition in Canada
In Niagara Falls, Ontario, 29 June to 03 July 2011. Also openings
for a dance tour in Paris in the summer of 2011.
12. Residencies in Germany
Open to dance professionals from all countries. Offering to 6
persons studio space, accommodation, expenses, travel, equipment,
rehearsals, class, advice, from August to December 2011. Deadline
for applications 13 December 2010.
13. CID President in South Korea
Prof. Raftis will be in Seoul 22 to 27 November invited by the Seoul
Section of CID to the 2010 Asian Dance Symposium. Dance
professionals who would like to meet him there are welcome to ask
for an appointment.
14. Competition in Sri Lanka
Dancesport championship 03 July 2011, open to beginners, novice,
amateur and professional.
15. Modern dance in Brazil
Workshops 24-28 January 2011 in Rio de Janeiro. Teachers from the
Martha Graham School, the Jose Limon Institute and the Alvin Ailey
Center.
